Douglas Allen Chappell, age 56, Lower Stone Mountain Road, Unicoi, died Friday morning, August 23, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. He was a native of Pikeville, KY. Mr. Chappell was a self employed truck driver.
Mr. Chappell was preceded in death by his biological mother: Eva Pennington, a sister: Angela and brother: Eugene.
He is survived by two daughters: Julie Whitis, Ft Thomas, KY, and Pamela Ollis, Unicoi; one granddaughter, Caroline Dalton; his parents, Samuel “Sam” and Etter Honeycutt Casey; four brothers: Kim Casey, Shane Casey, Brad Casey and Bobby Mosley; three sisters: Zula Nantz, Emma Morgan and Brenda Harrison; former wife: Rosalind Ollis.
A private family graveside service for Mr. Chappell was held Sunday afternoon, August 25, 2013 in the Tolley Family Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
