Deltha Diane Sharp, age 80, 210 Wilson Road, Erwin, passed away on Monday, December 25, 20 17 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She lived most of her life in Erwin and was a daughter of the late Dillard and Rena Garland Johnson. Deltha was a homemaker and avid gardener. She was a Christian.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Sharp, Jr. on April 21, 2003; one granddaughter, Meghan Headley and son-in-law, Eddie Gillis.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, three sons: Billy Martin and wife, Christy of Greeneville, Allen Martin and wife, Shena, Randy Martin, all of Erwin; daughter and best friend, Jill Martin, Unicoi; daughter, Vivian Pansy Smith and husband, Alf, Johnson City; step-daughter, Gidget Sharp, Johnson City; one brother, Frank Johnson and wife, Nancy, Texas; one sister, Ellen Harris, Erwin; nine grandchildren: Justin, Cody, Diane Mechelle, Jamie, Bobby, Jessica, Melissa, Corey and Danny; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. until the hour of service on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Preacher Willie Morrow will officiate at the 7:00 P. M. funeral service. Pallbearers will be Billy Martin, Bobby Smith, Cody Gillis, Randy Martin, Brian Smith, Coy Vaughn and Noah Silvers. Committal service will be held at 1:00 P. M. on Friday in the Evergreen Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 P. M.
