David Mosley

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away. Rev. 21:4

David Mosley left this life and entered into the blessed rest and peace of Heaven on April 13, 2013. He was a son of James Hoyt and Maude Mosley. For several years he drove a gas tanker for Poteat Oil and Holston Oil Companies, he went by the CB Handle “Big Moe.” He also ran a route delivering car windows in his later life.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Sharon, one son Quentin and the light of his life his grandson, David James Mosley. He is also survived by his brother, John and wife Regina Mosley, Unicoi, sister, Nora and husband, Jim McDairmant, Worton, Maryland, sister, Barbara Kay and husband, Don Shead of West Paris, Maine. Several nieces and nephews all of which he loved deeply.

Waiting for him in Heaven is his mother and father, nephew, Jacob Mosley and Aunt Eva Hammit, but most of all his Lord will welcome him at the Gates. He had been a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church where he met the Lord on August 2, 1992, he was presently a member of West Park Street Church where he held the position of deacon and was involved with the food ministry. The family would like to thank all the doctors who have helped David over the years, the nurses on 5500 floor, the staff of Davita Dialysis, especially Kathy who he loved pulling tricks on, Erwin EMS and all those who prayed for David. In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be sent to West Park St. Food Ministry, P.O. Box 1264, Erwin, TN 37650.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Valley Funeral Home. A Celebration of David’s life will be on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Pastor Dennis Wall will officiate. Pallbearer will be Matthew Mosley. Those who will be attending the service will meet at Roselawn Memory Gardens by 10:50 AM.
