Dallas Denford Tipton

Dallas Denford Tipton, 85, Johnson City passed away May 29, 2022 at Agape Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Johnson City. He was born April 25, 1937 in Flag Pond and was a son of the late Jasper and Bonnie Tipton. Dallas was living in West Virginia before moving back home to Tennessee. He was a veteran having served his country in the U.S. Army. Dallas was a farmer most of his life, where he enjoyed watching his crops grow and produce. He worked at several different jobs from greenhouses to school bus driver, maintenance at ETSU, a peppermint candy factory and retired from GMF Manufacturing in Erwin. Dallas love traveling to different states.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Hoy Tipton; three sisters, Eileen Silvers, Ollie Black and Katheryn Rice;

He leaves to cherish his memory, a son Danny Tipton and his wife, Laurie; two daughters, Linda Tipton and Debbie Shelton and husband, Rickey Joe; two brothers, Vernon and Blake Tipton; a brother-in-law, Edgar Rice; grandchildren, Daniel Tipton and wife, Lindsay, Carrie Ford and husband, Sam, Willie Tipton and wife, Kimmie, Thomas Tipton, Rachel Paul and husband, Andy and Sarah Cooper and husband, A.J.; also seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

On behalf of the Tipton family, we would like to thank the staff at Agape for the care Dallas received while in their care. A graveside service for family and friends will be conducted at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Military Honors.
