Conrad A. Keesecker

Conrad A. Keesecker passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 21, 2015. He was born in Erwin, TN. Conrad was a graduate of Mars Hill College, East Tennessee State University, and earned his Masters in Education from Old Dominion University. He was a high school teacher and coach for Newport News Public Schools for 29 years. He loved gardening and was an avid tennis player and golfer. Conrad raised strawberries off of Harpersville Road for over 10 years and was well known as the “Strawberry Guy.”
He was preceded in death by his son, Randy Keesecker; parents, Parran M. Keesecker and Pauline Brummett Keesecker; father-in-law, Joseph Randolph Rodgers; sister, Nancy Bogart; sister-in-law Penny Keesecker; brothers, Sam Keesecker, A.G. Keesecker, Michael Keesecker; nephews, Mark Keesecker, Matthew Keesecker, and Jay Merry Gray.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years , Margaret Lee Rodgers Keesecker; daughter, Elizabeth “Beth” Lee Keesecker; mother-in-law, Agnes Rodgers; sisters, Irene Gray (Jerome), Katrinka Quillen (Prezzle); brothers, Jerry Keesecker (Anita), John Keesecker (Ann), Steven Keesecker, Karl Keesecker (Teresa); sister-in-law, Carol Keesecker; brother-in-law, Howard Bogart; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are in the care of Peninsula Funeral Home, and the family has chosen to have a private celebration honoring Conrad's life.
