Connie Sue Stamper, age 53, Chinquapin Lane, Jonesborough, died suddenly Tuesday morning, Feb. 8, 2011, at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital as the result of an aneurism.
Mrs. Stamper was born March 6, 1957, in Erwin. She was a Baptist.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, mamaw, daughter and friend to many.
Mrs. Stamper was presently a student in a certified nursing assistant program.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Donald Ray Stamper; daughter, Shannon Stamper Harris of Unicoi; three grandchildren, Don Tyler Neblett, Shiana Neblett and Abigail “Abby” Neblett, all of Erwin; mother and step-father, Wanda and Robert Webb of Erwin; godmother, Edna Brummett of Erwin; father, Theodore Bennett of Carter County; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Rick Bradley, Charlotte, N.C., Brenda and Robert “Bud” Tinker, Erwin, Madelyn and Don Cleveland, Bristol, Va., Tom Stamper, Archdale, N.C., Johnny Stamper, of Indianapolis, Ind., and Kyle Stamper, Auburn, Calif.
Funeral services were conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd McLaughlin officiating.
Committal services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at Evergreen Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Ronald “Boo” Ambrose, Ralph Marlowe, Robert Cochran, Craig Masters, Carl Jones and Charlie Davis. Honorary pallbearers were Rick Anders, Jerry Anders, Mike Anders and Tim Harris.
Unicoi Funeral Home was in charge.
