Charles “Charlie” James Jackson, age 81, of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at the Johnson City Medical Center. Charlie was a native of Virginia and a son of the late Charles Maurice and Beatrice Bladen Jackson. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army in Germany, and was a member of the Army Special Forces Unit – Green Berets. Charlie retired as a cartographer and surveyor, checking aerial photographs with land maps for the United States Government.

Brother: William “Bill” Jackson and wife Sonja, of Colonial Beach, VA;
Sister: Mary Lamothe, of Fredericksburg, VA, and husband Andrew, of Orlando, FL;

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Charles “Charlie” James Jackson in a memorial service to be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 12, 2016 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 10:00 AM and will continue until the service time. A committal will follow at 1:45 PM, Friday at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military honors provided by the TN Army National Guard. Minister Bill Booth will officiate. Those attending the committal service will meet at Mountain Home National Cemetery by 1:45 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donations be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
