Bro. Larry Brown, age 68, of Unicoi, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013, at his home. He was a native of Mars Hill, North Carolina and a son of the late Dennis and Virginia Scott Brown. Mr. Brown is a retired minister and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.

Sister: Hazel Letterman of Mars Hill, NC
Grandchildren: Amber Woodward, Briana Roten, Whitney Hendry, Noah Mason, Justina Mason, Andrew Brown.
Great Grandchildren: Colton Roten, Coeyn Hendry, Diesel Hendry, and Jace Woodward.
The life of Bro. Larry Brown will be remembered and honored in a funeral service to be at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Steve Rice will officiate and Reverend Kevin Hopson will provide a Eulogy. Musical selections will be provided by Scotty Woodby and Sharon, Ginger and David. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 5:00 PM and continue until 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Valley Funeral Home. A graveside committal service will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Mausoleum Chapel of Evergreen Cemetery. Those that wish to attend will meet at Valley Funeral Home by 10:30 AM on Wednesday to go in procession to Evergreen Cemetery Mausoleum. Those serving as pallbearers are Nathan Roten, Jared Woodward, Noah Mason, Christian Hendry, Jason Cooper, Jeffrey Crowe, and Josh Tilson. Honorary pallearers will be Reverend Gary Adkins, Andrew Brown and Doug Hopson.
