Brenda K. Barnes, age 59, of Jonesborough, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011, at Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Barnes was a native of Kankakee, Ill., and a daughter of the late Glen and Maxine Mabrey.
She worked as a waitress for Huddle House in Erwin. She was of a non-denominational faith.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Schoonmaker.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford Barnes of Jonesborough; daughters, Michelle White and husband, Andy of Erwin, and Melissa O’Cull and husband, Arthur of South Dakota; son, Mike Bacino and wife, Amanda of Rogersville; brother, Glen Mabrey Jr. of Kentucky; grandchildren, Shelby White, Kayley Bacino, McKenza Bacino and Riley Bacino; and special grandchild, Kaitlynn White.
Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 7, at 11 a.m. in the Valley Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Joseph Wayne Cole officiated.
Graveside services were held immediately following the service at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Andy White, Mike Bacino, Jonathan White, Jay White, Clifford D. Barnes and Anthony Oscar.
Valley Funeral Home was in charge.
