Billy Dale Miller, 64, 110 Unaka View Drive, Erwin died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at his home
following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was a lifelong resident of Erwin and a son of the late Andy and Ethel Bennett Miller.
He was a machinist with SnapOn Tools in Elizabethon for over 30 years and was an avid fisherman.
Mr. Miller was of the Baptist faith.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Lonnie Miller.
Survivors include a son: Terry L. Miller and wife, Jenny; a daughter: Angela Miller Bennett and
husband, Bobby; one granddaughter: Chasity Miller; one grandson: Ricky Miller; one brother: David Miller and wife, Debbie; one sister: Linda Foster and husband, Danny, all of Erwin; several nieces,
nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral service was held Monday, Feb. 20, at 8 p.m., in the Erwin Memorial Funeral Home Chapel,
with the Rev. Kevin Laws officiating.
Special music was provided by Lynn Harris and Inez Chandler.
Active pallbearers were Tim Timbs, Wayne Powers, Mark Molish, Johnny Baker, Eugene Bennett,
Dennis Whaley, Perry Arnett, and Frank Arnett. Honorary pallbearers were employees of SnapOn
Tools and his fellow fishing buddies.
Interment will be Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 10 a.m., in Tinker Cemetery, Mill Creek Community. Family,
minister, pallbearers, and those attending the committal are asked to meet at the funeral home by
9:15 a.m., to go in procession to the cemetery.
