Billie G. Howell

Billie G. Howell, age 72, of White Oak Flats, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Smoky Ridge Health and Rehabilitation. A native of Yancey County, he was a son of the late Harley and Pearl Adkins Howell. He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Frank Howell, Gene Howell and Lawrence Howell. Bill was an avid outdoorsman who loved the mountains, camping and doing fish fry get-togethers with his friends and family.

Surviving are his sons: Kenneth Howell and Amanda of Erwin, TN, Jerry Howell and Tammy Hodge of White Oak Flats and Mark Howell and Jackie Laws of Erwin, TN; grandchildren: Brandi Howell, Sawyer Howell, Lindsey Howell, Miranda Howell and Garrett Howell. Four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
