Betty McIntosh

Betty McIntosh, age 75, 1821 Zane Whitson Drive, #25, Erwin, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital. She was a life long resident of Unicoi County and a daughter of the late Hugh and Mollie Collins Tipton.
She attended Pentecostal Holiness Church, Erwin. Ms. McIntosh was a homemaker. She was a loving, devoted, and high spirited Moma and Mamaw.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband and friend, Tom McIntosh; and four brothers: Bill, Hubert, Ed and Elmer Tipton.
Survivors include two sons: Rick McIntosh, Greeneville, and Mike McIntosh, Erwin; four daughters: Teresa Price, and husband David; Debbie Brummitt, and husband Gordon, all of Unicoi; Gloria McIntosh, Erwin, Michelle Bilbrey, Crossville; six grandchildren: Macky Harris, Michael Shane Jenkins, Jake McIntosh, Jaylen McIntosh, Brian Allen, and Sky Payne; two great grandchildren: Olivia Joy Jenkins, and Callie Allen; one brother: Ernie Tipton, Erwin; two sisters: Lucille Effler, and husband Ronald, and Alice Webster, all of Erwin; two sisters-in-law: Genevieve Tipton, and Ida Tipton, both of Erwin; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held Thursday, May 10, at 7 p.m., at the Unicoi Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev.Ronnie Holloway officiated. Pallbearers were Robbie White, Chase White, Phillip Effler, David Price, Gordon Brummitt, and Macky Harris.
The committal service was Friday, May 11, at 10 a.m. in the Peterson Cemetery, Unicoi.
Unicoi Funeral Home was in charge.
