Belve R. Sanders

Belve R. Sanders, age 73, of Erwin, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Pikeville, Kentucky and a son of the late Christopher Columbus and Vanda Mullins Sanders. Belve was a member of Pilgrims Free Will Baptist. He was a plumber, pipefitter and medical gas technician. He was a devout Christian, and he loved to sing and play music for the joy of the Lord. Belve was a master gardener and his pride and joy was, granddaughter, Taylor Sanders. His favorite chapter in the Bible is John 14. In addition to his parents, Mr. Sanders is preceded in death by a sister, Della Mae Quillen and special mother-in-law, Edith Higgins.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we honor and remember the life of Belve R. Sanders in a funeral service to be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, October 10, 2014 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Danny Hughes will officiate. Vocal selections will be provided by Tim Higgins. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 5:00 PM and continue until service time on Friday at Valley Funeral Home. An additional visitation service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Pilgrims Free Will Baptist Church until 12:00 PM. Following the visitation a committal service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Sanders, Chuck Sanders, Matthew Sanders, Ben Sanders, Andy Nelson, L.J. Bagby, and Dalton Sanders. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Joe Snyder, Dr. Charles Miller, Harold Cantrell, Harmon Shelton, and the men of Pilgrims Free Will Baptist Church.
