Ashlie Grace Padgett, 18, of Unicoi, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016, at Johnson City Medical Center. Ashlie was born November 13, 1997, and is a daughter of Charles and Leslie Donaldson Padgett, of Unicoi. Ashlie was a native of Unicoi County, and a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Ashlie was an extraordinary athlete and was involved with Volleyball, Softball and Basketball. She received awards for Softball All-Conference, Female Athlete of the Year, Johnson City Press Sweet Sixteen, Volleyball Most Valuable Player, and Honorable Volleyball All-Conference. It was very important to Ashlie that she be an organ donor. Ashlie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Johnny Ray Padgett, Sr.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Ashlie Grace Padgett in a funeral service to be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Unicoi County High School. Chris Bogart and Pastor Steve Harmon will officiate. John English will provide a eulogy. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 10:00 AM at Unicoi County High School and continue until service time on Saturday. A graveside service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Padgett, Austin Padgett, Blaine Donaldson, Jeremy Bryant, Tom Donaldson, Bill Donaldson, Johnny Padgett, Jr., and Larry Abel, Jr.
