Arnold “A. M.” Webb, age 93, 2110 Chestoa Pike, Erwin, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015, in the Unicoi County Memorial Hospital. He was a nativ e of Poplar, NC and had lived most of his life in Unicoi County. Mr. Webb was a son of the late Ulis and Sarah Tipton Webb. He retired from Clinchfield Railroad in 1984 where he was employed for thirty-five years. Mr. Webb was owner of Webb's Fireworks. He was a member of the Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of seventy years Willene Margaret Davis Webb; a son, U. K. Webb; and three brothers.
Mr. Webb leaves behind to cherish his memory; one son, Gerald Webb and wife, Judy of Erwin; three daughters, Glenda “Denny” Wilson and husband, Gene of Erwin; Sheila Webb of Fort Myers, FL; Brenda Cates and husband, Bill of Chocowinity, NC; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Webb of Johnson City; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service for Mr. Webb will be held at 1:00 P. M. Wednesday, February 11, 2015, in the Roselawn Memory Gardens, Johnson City. Reverend Roger Laws will officiate. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 P. M.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Webb to the Fellowship Freewill Baptist Church Youth Group, 101 Berkshire Drive, Erwin, TN 37650.
