Argol Honeycutt

Argol Honeycutt, age 72, of Unicoi, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018, at his home. Argol is a native of Relief, NC and a son of the late Ernest and Nervia (Bennett) Honeycutt. He attended Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church and he was a conductor with the railroad until he retired. Argol was a proud veteran of the United States Army Reserves and enjoyed attending church and spending time with his friends and family. He joined the Centennial Lodge # 491 of Erwin in 1976 and was a Master Mason for 42 years. He was currently a member of Unicoi Lodge # 681, Scottish Rites Bodies of Knoxville, and Jericho Shrine Temple of Kingsport. In addition to his parents, Argol is preceded in death by two brothers: Douglas Rhea Honeycutt and Gary Lynn Honeycutt.

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Argol Honeycutt in a funeral service to begin at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. Reverend Noah Taylor will officiate. Masonic services will be rendered by Unicoi Lodge # 681. A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will be from 5:30 PM until service time on Tuesday. A graveside committal service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Evergreen Cemetery. Those attending will meet at Valley Funeral Home by 10:30 AM to go in procession. Those serving as pallbearers will be Jordan Honeycutt, Scottie Higgins, Ernie Robinette, Jacob Davis, David Renfro and Tracy Banks. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made to Evergreen Free Will Baptist Church, 910 Hoback Street, Erwin, TN 37650.
