Annie Mack Price Peters 85, Erwin, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011, with her family by her side. She was a native of Unicoi County and was raised in the Coffee Ridge Community.
She was the Daughter of William and Sarah Tilson Price. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband: James Peters; brothers: Abner, George, Merritt, Tommy and Talmadge Price; sisters: Betty Price, Eliza Lewis, Beatrice Williams and Hilda Melissa Price Monroe; brothers-in-law: Roy David Monroe, William Pitt Williams and Harvey Lewis.
Survivors include nephews: Lonnie Monroe and wife, Michelle, Johnson City, James Monroe and wife, Sandy, Virginia Beach, Va., Robert Monroe and wife, Nancy, Virginia Beach, Va.; niece: Tracy Garland and husband, Kent, Unicoi; great nephews and nieces: Christopher Monroe, Chasity Monroe, Unicoi, Brandi Monroe, Cody Monroe, Virginia Beach, Va.; special great niece and caregiver: Valarie Tinker, Unicoi; most special friends and caregivers: Zane Black, Betty Hayes and Barbara Peters; other special friends and caregivers: Tammy Horton and Tiffany Campbell, nurses and staff of Caris Hospice and Center on Aging Inhome Healthcare staff.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Ault officiating.
Committal services were held Saturday, July 23, at 10 a.m., at Clear Branch Cemetery.
Valley Funeral Home was in charge.
