Anna Lee Banner

Anna Lee Banner, age 81, of Erwin, went home to be with God’s babies on Sunday, October 15, 2017 in Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Erwin and a daughter of the late Clay and Ethel (Tipton) Hampton. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and keeper of her home. She never knew a stranger and nobody ever left her home hungry. Anna Lee very much enjoyed children of all ages. She enjoyed gospel music, flowers and, most of all, her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Anna Lee is preceded in death by her husband, William “Pat” Banner; her daughter, Sandra Kay Banner; granddaughter, Crystal Lee Tipton; grandson, Aiden Banner; and several brothers and sisters.

The family would like to offer special thanks to Judy Fields Gogan with Johnson City Medical Center, 5th floor.

 

The family respectfully requests the honor of your presence as we offer tribute and remember the life of Anna Lee Banner in a funeral service to be at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in the chapel at Valley Funeral Home. Reverend David Wheeler, Jr will officiate. A visitation to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 4:00 PM on Wednesday and will continue until service time at Valley Funeral Home. A committal service will be at 9:00 AM on Thursday, October 19, 2017 in Banner Cemetery. Those attending the service will meet at the cemetery by 8:50 AM on Thursday.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any local food bank to assist in feeding those who are hungry.
