Amelia Suesie Fain Dyles, age 77, 392 Foster Ridge Road, Erwin passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at her residence. She lived most of her life in Unicoi County and was a daughter of the late Clarence and Ethel McCall Fain.
Amelia worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Unicoi County Memorial Hospital and the Regional Hospital in High Point, NC with over forty years service.
She was a member of Love Chapel Christian Church. Suesie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, Jack Dyles on February 17, 2018.
Amelia leaves behind to cherish her memories, two sons, Jack Wade Dyles, of the home, David Markwell and wife, Sheree, Thomasville, NC; one daughter, Melissa Edwards and husband, Dexter, Erwin; five grandchildren: Noah Edwards, Chelsea Edwards, Daniel Edwards, Marcus Markwell and Brittany Markwell; five sisters: Lois Bryant and husband, Furman, Unicoi, Mary Blackmore, Johnson City, Julia Franklin and husband, Wayne, Erwin, Debra Erwin and husband, Nick, Erwin, Kathy Bloom, Ormond Beach, FL; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until the hour of service on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Robert Ledford Funeral Home Chapel. Minister Robert Bess will officiate at the 7:00 P.M. funeral service. Suesie’s grandson, Noah Edwards will share remarks and eulogy. Music will be provided by Clarence Bailey, Jim Smith and Charlotte McCurry. Committal service will be held at 10:45 A.M. on Monday at the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:30 A.M. Monday.
