Addie Taylor, age 96, of Embreeville, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at the Center on Aging and Health. She was a native of Washington County and a daughter of the late Jim and Dora Fowler Casey.
Mrs. Taylor worked with Southeast Industries until her retirement. She was a member of Bumpass Cove Missionary Baptist Church.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Robert C. Taylor; daughters: Joan Tucker and Anna Ruth Taylor; son: Michael Taylor; sisters: Annie Phillips, Zella Casey, Cora Casey, and Maxie Poore; brothers: Raymond Casey, Zachary Casey, Henry Casey, Paul Casey, and Blaine Casey.
Survivors include a daughter: Rita Henley and husband, Oliver, of Jonesborough; grandchildren: Martin Henley of Georgia, Jeff Edwards of Erwin, Penny Randolph of Erwin, Patty Kimberlin of Erwin and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, Nov. 25, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Bishop John Edwards officiated. Musical selections were provided by Mike Peterson.
The committal service followed at Bumpass Cove Cemetery.
