Many local churches have plans in place to provide Thanksgiving meals to anyone in need of one.

Many local churches are working to see that everyone enjoys a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Ninth Street Baptist Church, Fishery Community Church, Centenary United Methodist Church, Grace United Methodist Church and Northridge Community Church are working together to provide Thanksgiving meals to those who need them.

Meals will be prepared by volunteers from the churches and will be delivered on Thanksgiving day, Thursday, Nov. 24. If you know of anyone who needs a meal, please call the Ninth Street Baptist Church office at (423) 743-7551. Callers will be asked to provide the recipient’s name, address, phone number and the number of meals needed. They will also be asked to give brief directions to the home, which will aid in the delivery.

Trinity Free Will Baptist Church will prepare a Thanksgiving meal at no cost for those widowed, living alone or who otherwise will not have a holiday meal.

Carryout plates and delivery will be held on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24, at the church from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

For information or to place an order, call the church at (423) 743-9751 or Jean Laws at (423) 743-5594.
