UCHS holds Winter Formal

The halls of Unicoi County High School might have been filled with students on their way to classes on Saturday afternoon, but by that night, they were filled with individuals and couples ready to dance at the annual Winter Formal.
The UCHS student council and theater arts department held a Winter Formal. The dress code was all females were to wear a dress, and all males were to wear a dress shirt and tie.
Student council president Austin Finch said, “We decided to have it because a Winter Formal is a common event in other schools, and we (student council) thought it would be a good tradition to start in our school.
“The formal Saturday was the first one our school has had, and given the circumstances of all the snow days and having school the same Saturday – it was a relative success.”
“I think that the winter formal was fantastic. There was a great turn out for the event. Everything went very smoothly, and could become an annual event” said Noél Bailey student council vice-president.
