Church completes upgrades

“Love God and love others.”
That’s the motto for First Baptist Church in Erwin.
The church has recently received a consortium of new upgrades that have seen the church thriving in recent months.
Macil Duncan is the pastor of First Baptist Church. Since taking over some 18 months ago, he has witnessed the church grow in size from around 45 weekly members to around 200, and the future looks even brighter yet.
“I’m pumped,” said Duncan. “We’ve just been so blessed over the last several months with all of the upgrades we’ve received.”
The upgrades include a new electric sign, a new sound system and a new nursery. They have also hired a new family minister, Doug Hinshaw, as a result of the church’s recent growth.
The nursery appears to be a top-of-the-line facility, filled with all the amenities of a well-rounded nursery. The nursery also has a separate room for nursing mothers, filled with cribs and rocking chairs.
