Calvary Baptist Church celebrates groundbreaking

Members of Calvary Baptist Church took part in a groundbreaking ceremony on Sunday, Aug. 7, for the church’s new Christian Life Center.

Pastor David Crutchfield was joined by other church staff and members of the Capital Campaign Team in turning the first shovels of dirt.

The new facility, which will be attached to the existing building, will feature a gymnasium/meeting area, seven new classrooms and a fully-equipped kitchen. GRC Construction Services, of Kingsport, is the contractor for the project.

The new building is expected to be completed in early 2017.
