Volunteers are needed in a variety of positions at the East Tennessee State University and General Shale Brick Natural History Museum and Visitor Center at the Gray Fossil Site.
Whether greeting visitors, guiding groups or working alongside museum curators, volunteers contribute in many important ways. Currently, the museum needs individuals to help with the prep lab, dig site, front desk, museum office, tours, educational programming and marketing.
We have something for everyone at the museum, said Dr. Blaine Schubert, museum director. Were not only looking for people who are interested in science, but also those who wish to interact with the public by greeting visitors, giving tours, or assisting with our educational and outreach programming.
