TDOT seeks input for long range plan

Hate sitting in traffic? Is your daily commute growing? Want more transportation choices? The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) is updating its 25-Year Long Range Transportation Plan to address the growing needs and changing demands of Tennessee’s transportation system. Public input is critical in establishing the goals of the department and making the 25-Year Long Range Transportation Plan a success, according to a press release issued by TDOT. Updated every
five years, the plan will serve as the TDOT's roadmap for future statewide transportation investments.
“We are taking a new approach for this Long Range Transportation Plan,” said TDOT Commissioner John Schroer. “Unlike previous plans, it will be fiscally responsible, restrained and most importantly, achievable. That’s why it’s so important for our customers to help us prioritize our future transportation investments.”
