Southside Volunteer Fire Department conducting subscription drive

South Side Volunteer
Fire Department and Rescue
Squad is still conducting
its annual subscription
drive. Residents still have
plenty of time to participate.
“The community has
already been very supportive
of the Fire Department,”
said Chief John Hilemon.
“This week we will
be sending mailouts to the
citizens in Spivey, Coffee
Ridge and Flag Pond.”
There are several ways
that residents can pay their
subscriptions. They can
be paid in person at South
Side Station 1 at 1295 Carolina
Ave. If no one is at
the Station, there is a drop
box on the right side of the
building, near the main entrance.
Residents can also
drop their subscriptions off
at Frank’s Furniture, 1004
Jackson Love Highway
or at the Unicoi County
Courthouse in Debbie Tittle’s
Offi ce.
“We really appreciate the
response we have gotten so
far,” said Hilemon. “Your
help will ensure that we
continue to provide our citizens
the quality fi re protection,
rescue service and
medical assistance they
deserve. We thank you so
much for your support.”
Citizens with any questions,
