Senior leaders take on role in absence of NFS president

Nuclear Fuel Services President Joe Henry has assumed the role of chief operating officer for the Y-12 National Security Complex on an interim basis, and two senior leaders have taken on Henry’s responsibilities until his return.
“NFS senior leaders Gary Darter, director of program management, and Christa Reed, director of operations, have temporarily assumed responsibilities typically managed by Joe Henry,” NFS Communications Manager Lauri Turpin said. “E. Todd Brown, vice president of strategic initiatives for the Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Operations Group, has been assigned to NFS to provide NOG corporate assistance, as needed.”
Turpin said Henry is expected to return in a few months.
Y-12, according to its website, “is one of four production facilities in the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Nuclear Security Enterprise.” Y-12 wrote, “Our unique emphasis is the processing and storage of uranium and development of technologies associated with those activities.”
