Rep: Erwin Bojangles to open soon
Barring further weather-related delays, the new Bojangles in Erwin will open its doors in the very near future.
According to Steve Rex, area director for Bojangles, the restaurant, located at 508 Jonesborough Road, could open this week. No specific date was available prior to The Erwin Records press deadline.
On Friday, Feb. 20, the company announced the restaurant would open on Feb. 24; however, last weeks snowy weather caused construction delays, Rex said.
When the restaurant does open, it will serve Bojangles popular food items, including chicken made with a special blend of seasonings, hot, fresh from scratch buttermilk biscuits and one-of-a-kind fixins such as Bojangles Dirty Rice® and Bojangles Cajun Pintos®, according to Rex.
Also, the restaurant will serve breakfast all day, as well as have a full dining area with flat screen TVs and free wifi.
Bojangles is coming to Erwin and everything is on schedule despite the rain, snow, ice and freezing temperatures. We are excited to come to Erwin and look to hire about 60-65 people for crew and also seven managers, said Unit Director Sharon Adams. We understand that were nothing without our people so we will be looking for great people to join our team who are friendly, enthusiastic and will enjoy preparing and serving great food.
Adams said the Erwin Bojangles will offer the same quality as others in the chain.
When you walk into our store, you can expect hot food in a clean environment and a staff of people who will deliver outstanding service and work to build a pleasing environment for customers, said Adams. The entire Bojangles organization is committed to ensuring that our guests always get the best-tasting, highest-quality products possible, served quickly by friendly people in a clean and pleasant environment.
The Erwin location is just one of many new restaurants the company plans to build, Adams said.
Currently, Bojangles has many stores in East Tennessee and plans to build many more, said Adams. The companys development in Erwin and East Tennessee is part of the brands overall growth strategy to open 55 locations throughout its 10-state regional footprint in 2015.
There are currently more than 600 Bojangles.
