Ramblers featured at Kiwanis Campfire

The Rock Creek Ramblers will present their show Pickin’ & Grinnin’ July 2 at 8 p.m. at the Rock Creek Recreation Area Kiwanis Campfire Program.
The Rock Creek Ramblers are a group of six – five of them descendents of Mr. W. Hensley, the sixth “a real good friend.”
This is the 17th year of the Campfire Program, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Erwin with the support of the Cherokee National Forest Service. The programs are absolutely free, including a marshmallow roast after the show. The program will last one hour.
To find the Rock Creek Recreation Area take Exit 36 off Interstate 26. Cross back over I-26, proceed eastward to the first red light; turn right on North Main Avenue. Turn east (left) on Route 395 (Rock Creek Road) and after a mile or two you will see a sign marking the entrance of Rock Creek Recreation Area. Turn left into the area and follow the campfire signs to the amphitheater. In the event of rain the program will be moved to the Rock Creek Presbyterian Church, which is on Route 395.
