Parade set for Saturday

The 2012 Christmas parade will march down Main Avenue on Saturday, Nov. 24, at 10:30 a.m.
Beginning at the Erwin Village Shopping Center, the parade will travel down Main Avenue into downtown Erwin and end at Erwin Utilities on Love Street.
Sponsored by the Unicoi County Chamber of Commerce, this year’s parade, themed “Christmas Melodies,” will feature floats and exhibits that will help parade attendees envision the magic of the holiday season. Cline Floats will be supplying professionally-designed floats again this year for local businesses to sponsor.
These floats will travel the parade route, along with various other floats, the Unicoi County High School Band, the UCHS Junior Air Force ROTC, vehicles of all sorts and the special finale, Santa and Mrs. Claus.
As the parade concludes, spectators are encouraged to stroll through town and visit with local merchants to find truly unique holiday gifts.
