County officials will use the Unicoi County Jail Annex to store important county archives, documents and records. The relocation of those records was discussed by members of the County Buildings and Grounds Committee and the Unicoi County Records Committee in a joint meeting Tuesday, April 17.
The committees agreed to use the jail annex for storage in response to a notice from MGI Companies and East Tennessee Land Management, which asked the county to remove records
from the old Plasco building within 45 days. The deadline for the records to be moved is April 28.
