Keesecker’s marks 65th anniversary

On Friday, May 20, Keesecker Appliance and Furniture invited members of the public, including its loyal customers, to celebrate 65 years in business.
The store offered special sales on appliances and furniture items to celebrate the occasion and served up refreshments, including barbecue, finger foods and cake.
Friends and family gathered in the store to greet employees and family members who have helped to run the store since former owner Sam Keesecker died in February.
The anniversary celebration marks the store’s last, as the business plans to close its doors sometime this summer.
The store opened in 1946 under the ownership of P.M. and Pauline Keesecker, who operated the business until the 1970s. Keesecker Appliance and Furniture was sold to sons Steve and Sam Keesecker. Steve later sold his interests to Sam, who ran the store until his death.
