Hunter Education class planned

A Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency endorsed Hunter Education Class will be held at Erwin Town Hall Oct. 4-8 at 6 p.m. Live firing exercise will be held Oct. 9 at Sciota Firing Range in Unicoi, for those who pass the written exam.
Every person born on or after Jan. 1, 1969, must carry proof of successful completion of a hunter education class, along with any required licenses and permits.
Children under 10 year of age do not need hunter education certificate, but must be accompanied by an adult, who is at least 21 years of age and remains in a position to take immediate control of the hunting device.
Participants in the class must be at least nine years old when the class starts, and bring their social security number to registration.
Instructor for the class is Jerry Hopson.
