The town of Erwin and the Erwin Downtown Merchants Association have joined forces to host the first Erwin Great Outdoors Festival on Saturday, April 30, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in historic downtown Erwin.
“We are very excited to bring this new event to Erwin and Unicoi County,” Erwin City Recorder Glenn Rosenoff said. “The Erwin Great Outdoors Festival is a celebration of all Unicoi County has to offer the outdoor enthusiast in you.”
Vendors offering everything from hiking equipment, outdoor decor and furniture, gardening equipment, plants, crafts and more will be set up on Main Avenue. There will also be a children’s area, live music, food and craft beer from the Johnson City Brewing Company.
“The festival will have something for everyone,” Rosenoff said. “Erwin is a beautiful community with a variety of recreational opportunities. We hope to showcase our community to our surrounding region and beyond.”
With booths lining Main Avenue in downtown Erwin, vendors will open for business beginning at 9 a.m. Live music will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. Bands scheduled to perform include: The Comet Conductors, Under The Table, Amythyst, These Are The Angels and Soulfinger.
The Johnson City Brewing Company will offer several types of their unique craft beers from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. They will also be doing several Unicoi County themed beer infusions throughout the day.
From Interstate 26, take Exit 37 into downtown Erwin.
The Erwin Great Outdoors Festival is sponsored by WQUT, WXSM, WJCW, The Erwin Record, Waste Management and the Johnson City Brewing Company. It is coordinated by the town of Erwin and the Erwin Downtown Merchants Association.
