Four injured in wreck

Four individuals were injured in a three car accident in the Limestone Cove community last week.
According to preliminary details from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), the crash occurred around 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 17, on State Route 107 near the State Route 173 intersection.
The THP reported that Paul Byrd, 55, of Unicoi, was driving his 2003 Suzuki Forenza eastbound on State Route 107. Byrd attempted to turn his vehicle to go onto State Route 173 and turned into the path of the 2010 Kia Sorento driven by Mimi Rezzonico, 53, of Bakersville, N.C.
The impact caused both vehicles to strike the 2006 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Timmy Lewis, 45, of Unicoi, which was sitting at the stop light at the intersection of State Route 107 and State Route 173
According to the THP, Rezzonico was injured and was transported by a personal occupancy vehicle to the Johnson City Medical Center (JCMC). Joey Serradaz and Ivette Socarras were riding with Rezzonico. Serradaz reportedly sustained a minor injury and refused treatment. Socarras was injured and transported by EMS air to JCMC.
Lewis was not injured in the accident, according to the THP. Byrd was injured and transported by EMS ground to JCMC.
