Four apply for sheriff's post

As of March 19, four men – a probation officer, two current Unicoi County Sheriff’s Department officers and a tactical police officer at Nuclear Fuel Services – have submitted resumes as Unicoi County searches for an interim sheriff to fill the vacancy created when Kent Harris retired on March 1.

Unicoi County Mayor Greg Lynch, who received the resumes from potential candidates, provided limited information about each candidate by advisement of County Attorney Doug Shults.
