Farm produce marketing meeting set

An educational meeting to help farmers and gardeners market their produce and other agricultural goods successfully will be held June 8 at 7 p.m. at Erwin Town Hall.
Megan Bruch, marketing specialist from the Center For Profitable Agriculture, will be sharing new ideas and secrets to selling produce profitably.
Bruch, whose presentation is “Making the Most of the Market,” is a leading expert on farmers markets and produce marketing. The presentation is intended to help growers reconsider how to sell their crops and find opportunities for bigger profits through small adjustments. Bruch looks at how consumers think and how displays and container sizes affect sales.
Erwin Town Hall is at 211 North Main Ave. Refreshments will be available, and pre-registration is not required. Contact the University of Tennessee Extension Office in Unicoi County 743-9584 for information.
