Fans to wear pink for UCHS game

During Friday’s home football game against the Elizabethton Cyclones, Unicoi County High School Blue Devils fans will be asked to trade their traditional blue and white attire for pink.
No, the school hasn’t changed its colors – Friday’s game will be a “pink out” in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
During the “pink out,” which is sponsored by the Unicoi County Farm Bureau, UCHS coaches and cheerleaders are scheduled to wear pink Farm Bureau hats. All fans are asked to wear pink to show their support for breast cancer patients and survivors and to raise awareness of the disease, Farm Bureau Agent Gary Amos said.
Pink Farm Bureau hats may be purchased for a $5 donation at the Unicoi County Farm Bureau office, at Erwin Motors and at Jones Hardware.
