ETSU to hold Veterans Day ceremony

In observance of Veterans Day, the East Tennessee State University Department of Military Science, Student Veterans Association and Veterans Affairs Standing Committee will hold a ceremony on Friday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. to honor and remember those who have served their country through military service. The public is invited to attend.
The event, which will take place at the Veterans Memorial in front of Memorial Hall (home of Brooks Gymnasium), will feature the ETSU Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) cadets placing a wreath while Taps is played.
Col. Kyle Redman will offer remarks at the ceremony. He is an ROTC graduate of Carson-Newman College and has over 29 years of commissioned military service.
Guests are reminded that the center of the ETSU campus surrounding Memorial Hall is now closed to automobile traffic.
