Erwin man killed in Colo.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department an Erwin man died in an alleged murder the morning of Sunday, Aug. 24.
CSPD officers responded to the 1000 block of Kelly Johnson Boulevard in response to a reported stabbing, the department reported. When officers arrived at the scene they found a man, later identified as Patrick Hampton, 31, in a parking, who was suffering from several stab wounds.
Hampton was transported to the hospital where he died as a result of his injuries, the CSPD said.
On Sunday morning, the CSPD reported that a search for the suspect was underway. Just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, the agency said the suspect, Michael Jonathan Ray, 32, of Georgia, had been taken into custody. The CSPD also said probable cause was established to charge Ray with murder in the first degree.
