Commodity distribution scheduled

The Upper East Tennessee Human Development Agency will hold a commodity distribution Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the National Guard Armory, 615 S. Main Ave., Erwin.
Anyone with questions may call the Erwin Neighborhood Service Center at 743-4103 or contact the staff at 109 Gay St., prior to Dec. 15.
Items will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to income-eligible households until all commodities are gone.
Each recipient must now have a commodity ID card in order to pick up their commodities. An ID card is obtained by completing an application at the Neighborhood Service Center. If someone is picking up your commodities, they must have your ID card with their name on the card authorizing them to do so. Staff will be available during the distribution to help you obtain an ID card if you have not already done so. Limits to pick up are five orders.
The distribution will begin at 9 am., and will end at 3 p.m., or earlier if foodstuff is no longer available. Participants should bring a paper bag or box to put your commodities in at the site.
