Commodity distribution nears

The Upper East Tennessee Human Development Agency will hold a commodity distribuion Wednesday, June 16, at the National Guard Armory, 615 S. Main Ave. in Erwin.
Items will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to income-eligible households until all commodities are gone. All recipients must be Tennessee residents and must have a commodity ID card to pick up commodities. An ID card is obtained by completing an application at the Neighborhood Service Center, 109 Gay St. in downtown Erwin.
The distribution will begin at 9 a.m. and will end at 3 p.m. or earlier, if foodstuffs are no longer available. Participants are asked to bring bags or boxes to put commodities in at the site.
Volunteers may be available to help the elderly or disabled persons.
