Blood drive receives 39 units

The Erwin Community Blood Drive, held Friday, March 11, at First Christian Church Fellowship Hall in Erwin, received 39 units of whole blood. Forty-five people applied to donate. There was one first-time donor.
The following donors participated in this drive.

Gary McCormick won the drawing for dinner for two at Toby’s Rock Creek Cafe.
First Baptist Church furnished the food for the canteen for this drive as a service to the community.
The next Erwin Community Blood Drive will be held Friday, May 13, at First Christian Church fellowship hall, 312 S. Main Ave., from 12:30-5:30 p.m. This drive will be a tribute to the memory of Jordan Alexis Dwomick, age 14, who died on April 3, 2010.
