Auxiliary’s bake sale brings in $800

The Unicoi County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary’s bake sale on Aug. 20 was a winner again, making more than $800.
Auxiliary members fixed up quite a few good tasting home-baked goods like: Quiche and Grapes; Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Extra Dark Chocolate Cupcakes, Breads, Lemon Crumb Muffins, various type of sandwiches, fruit, snack mix, lots of choices of cookies, Carol Tilson’s fabulous fudge, coconut cake, Angel Food Cake, Pumpkin Bread, Rocky Road Brownie Cake, Blackberry Wine Cake, Chess Pies, etc.
Auxiliary members say they “sold out down to the white tablecloths provided by Jean Bergendahl.”
The hospital dietary department cooked up the event’s most popular biscuits, gravy and coffee.
The auxiliary is still expecting several donations to come in, which should send the total over the $900 mark.
