Annual food drive by letter carriers set for May 14

From Staff Reports

The National Association of Letter Carriers will conduct its annual food drive on Saturday, May 14.

Because of food shortages, food pantries desperately need food. This is the largest food drive of the year for Second Harvest Food Bank, which depends on this food drive to provide supplies to pantries around the region.

The help of the public can ensure that the largest food drive of the year in the region can once again be a success. Due to food shortages, Second Harvest Food Bank is in critical need of donations. By supporting the annual National Association of Letter Carriers’ Food Drive, the public can make a difference.

Contributing is easy. On May 14, donate a bag of food by placing it inside your mailbox. The bags will be collected by your mail carriers and taken to Second Harvest Food Bank to help feed fellow Northeast Tennesseans in need.
