Deal seekers will have a golden opportunity on Saturday, June 5, to take home one-of-a-kind finds when the Town of Unicoi hosts a one-day Community Yard Sale.
“There will be plenty of bargains,” said Ashley Shelton, the town’s communications and programs director
“We always have a good turnout for our yard sales, but we think this one will be even bigger given that we’re only hosting one this year,” Shelton added.
The Community Yard Sale isn’t just for seeking out household treasures. The event is also open to handmade crafters, fresh produce vendors and food trucks. “We discontinued the Farmers Market which included a weekly yard sale,” Shelton said. “So we’re opening this yard sale up to anyone who wants to participate, kind of a one-day market that includes an array of items.”
Booth spaces are free, except for electricity hookups available for $15 at the Doug Hopson Pavilion. The pavilion spaces will be assigned, but Shelton said that all others will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Vendors may begin setting up at 7 a.m. and are asked to please maintain their booth until 2 p.m. as advertised. Registration is available online at ExploreUnicoi.com.
The sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Tourist Information Center. Registration is now open. For more information or to register offline, call the Tourist Information Center at (423) 735-0517 or email [email protected]
