From Staff Reports

Tanasi Arts & Heritage Center Gallery will hold a quilted tabletopper workshop on Saturday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Town of Unicoi Information and Visitors Center.

The Tanasi Arts and Heritage Center will provide a great opportunity for people to learn quilting with noted quilter Barbara Clark, who will lead a day-long workshop. By the workshop’s conclusion, participants will have crafted their own quilted table-top surface.

Seats are limited, so be sure to RSVP at tanasiarts.org. Fabric will be provided, but attendees will need to bring their own sewing machine and other tools and supplies that are listed on the RSVP form.

This is the 12th event to be held through June 2022 under an “Arts Build Communities” grant that Tanasi has been awarded by the Tennessee Arts Commission, funded through the First Tennessee Development District.

The Unicoi Information and Visitors Center, 106 Unicoi Village Place, Unicoi.

The event is free of charge, but participants are welcome to make a donation to Tanasi. For more information, call the Tanasi Gallery at (423) 735-0217, or contact Victoria Hewlett by emailing [email protected] or calling (423) 707-8798.
