Although Santa Claus has a busy schedule this time of the year, the jolly old elf has scheduled enough time to make a special appearance at one Erwin business.
Santa is slated to visit Erwin Apparel a few weeks before his hectic Christmas Eve round-the-world journey. While at the local business, he will be taking photos with the children of Unicoi County.
“We are excited to host Santa for the children of Unicoi County,” Erwin Apparel owner Amanda Galleher said. “The Santa pictures are free.”
Galleher is excited to give back to the community during the holidays.
“During the holidays we are always worried about the cost of everything,” Galleher said. “Erwin Apparel wanted to offer a spot where every child was equal and no matter what their financial situation, every child will be treated the same.”
Guests visiting Santa will also be able to check off some people from their Christmas shopping list as Erwin Apparel will offer lots of discounts to coincide with Santa’s visit.
“We will also have plenty of games to play on Dec.11,” Galleher said. “We will provide snacks and just have a fun time with the big man.”
She also reports that Santa is excited to see the many girls and boys of Unicoi County that have been behaving so well all year.
“Santa has told me that the boys and girls have been extra good this year and he has lots of gifts,” Galleher said. “Santa is so excited to be coming to Erwin.”
Santa is scheduled to be at Erwin Apparel, located at 1250 N. Main Avenue, in Erwin on Saturday, Dec. 11, from 11 a.m until 3 p.m.
He can only spare a few hours, though, as his workshop at the North Pole is at peak production to get ready in time for Christmas Eve.
