Park will offer after-dark hike

Rocky Fork State Park will offer hikers the chance to night hike the White Oaks Flats on Friday, April 16. The after-dark hike will be held from 9 to 10:30. There is a participation fee of $3.50.

Hikers will join Ranger Jeff Sweeney on a guided after-hours night hike along the White Oaks Flats Trail. The hike is intended for adults and older children capable of hiking 2.5 to 3 miles. All participants must sign up to join the hike. The hike will meet in the park’s parking lot.

Hiking shoes and apparel are recommended. Please also bring a flashlight and water. The weather in April could be warm or cold, so dress accordingly. Well-behaved pets on a leash are allowed.
